UK Advertising Standards Authority to police facebook, twitter

Interesting sign of how seriously social media forums are being taken now days - on 1st March 2011 the UK's Advertising Standards Authority acquires powers to monitor the comments that companies or individuals make about themselves on social media sites like facebook and twitter, and punish people for false or misleading claims, just as if they had said it in a newspaper advertisement.
